I stopped there a few years back.
The place has a lot of old junk strewn about, including two school buses. But the hotdogs were good.

In the summer of 1980, I got a letter from a friend in Windsor, Ont.
He was a childhood friend from Horseheads, NY and had a summer job in Detroit at the time. His housing was on the campus of the University of Windsor. From what I understand, that sort of arrangement was not uncommon.

A friend of mine had his removed back in the 80s.
During his recovery, the old line that "it only hurts when I laugh" was real.

I played a few softball games on the Drill Field, before those
diagonal paved walkways were installed.

In Brugge, go to De Halve Maan (The Half Moon) Brewery.
If you find your way to a square called De Burg, Delaney's Irish Pub has some good Irish food. The nearby Crowne Plaza (where I stayed for a week in 2005) has the ruins of an old church in the basement. There are some windmills and old city gates along the Kanaal Gent-Brugge that might be worth a photo.
One friend of mine went to Brugge and rented a bike, which he rode up to the North Sea and an area called Zeebrugge. Although 8 miles from the center of Brugge, Zeebrugge is still within Brugge's city limits.
I was in Ghent for one day in 2005, but I don't remember much except for a canal boat ride. In 2017, I was on a trip to the Netherlands and Belgium, which spent one day in Brugge.

Go to the Battersea Power Station, which is now a shopping mall and
tie a pig balloon between two of its smokestacks. Just watch out for Pigs on the Wing.

The same thing happened in France.
When I was in Honfleur in 2014, my tour group was told that buildings were taxed according to the size of their windows. Whether this was true of the city, the region of Normandy, or all of France, I don't know.

I went to school with two of them.
They were both in my homeroom at Northside HS in Roanoke. During roll call, the teacher would say "Michael G." and then "Michael L." It took me a while to learn their common last name.

Yes. It was posted earlier, but it appears to have scrolled off the page.
But anyway, it's worth watching again, so I will refrain from any Germanic comments.

Was in AZ and Cal in September.
In the Phoenix area, gas was over $4.80/gal. I drove to Quartzsite and found a place with $4.05/gal gas. Then I drove to Blythe, Cal, where it was $6.09/gal.

Three of my four bros have birthdays on
the 14th day of different months. That's as close as my folks get to that sort of thing.

Saw them in '82 at the Capital Centre.....
....which no longer exists. Roger Fisher (lead guitar) was already out of the band. To my surprise, there was this blonde dude (Mark Andes) instead of Steve Fossen on bass, and another new guy (Denny Carmassi) on drums instead of Mike Derosier.

One thing I've realized is....
If you have the right of way and want to be considerate of your fellow drivers, the most considerate thing you can do is just go, since others can't go until you do.

I remember those from when I lived in Virginia.
We don't have them here in Merlin. I remember buying a car from a woman who lived in Virginia after I moved up here. After I had it registered, I made sure to scrape off the window stickers (state inspection and county) because I figured that I'd be pulled over in VA for expired stickers if I didn't. I could imagine telling the cop "But officer, this car is not registered in Virginia anymore" and him saying "that's no excuse".

Earlier today, I hiked up to this place.
It's the highest point in Maryland (a.k.a. Merlin in the state dialect), reachable by a trail that starts in West Virginia on U.S. 219. My hat is off to whoever hauled the bench and the sign up there.

When playing baseball, don't celebrate your win too early.
The Hornell (NY) high school team learned this the hard way.
Full disclosure: When I lived in Horseheads and went to HS at Notre Dame in Elmira, I was on the JV football team and we played against Hornell.

I don't know where Arrecife is,
but I'm pretty sure that I've never been there.
Rode a bike through the Paw Paw Tunnel back during the 1990s. On a different visit, I walked through the tunnel and then hiked back on the trail that goes over the hill.

If you like historical stuff, go to Fort Macon,
which is at the east end of the island. Beaufort has a bunch of waterfront restaurants and a maritime museum.

I've had that problem and the opposite one.
After I arrived in Durango, Colorado about 10 years ago, I had to wait about two hours for another flight to deliver my luggage. (I did not get on an earlier flight, but was on the one I booked.) On the other hand, coming back from Boston to Washington Reagan, my luggage got onto an earlier flight and was sitting at the airline's baggage office waiting for me.

I had that type of situation in a ChemE design class, with a twist.
The class was team-taught by two professors, Ayden Sunol from Turkey and Yoram Zimmels from Israel (assuming I remember how their names were spelled). Each one would teach the class for about 2 weeks, and just as I was getting used to his accent, they'd switch.

When I grow older, losing my hair.....
Today I have reached the day that Paul McCartney sung about all those years ago. Of course, the words which start the song have already become reality for yours truly.

I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze and a
2000 Chevy Blazer. That's a 5-year-old and a 22-year-old, which gives me an average of 13.5 years.
